Yoga, Ice Skating, Baseball and Scuba

College activities/jobs:
During the school year, I was a Shift Manager at the Pizza Hut on 5th and Green. (“Thank you for choosing the Pizza Hut on the corner of 5th and Green…will your order be for dine-in or carry-out?”) During the summer I worked at A.E. Staley in Decatur.

Advice I’d like to give to college students:
Sounds very cliché, but I would advise any student to determine what they really like to do and then find a way to make it a career. Don’t chase the money or the title or the location just because everybody else does. To steal a phrase from Roadtrip Nation – “find the open road”.

Hobbies:
Spending quality time with family and close friends, playing golf, building golf clubs

Favorite Restaurant in C-U:
Too soon to determine

Favorite Music:
‘80s Alternative…think synthesizers!

Favorite Movies:
Caddyshack (“’Tanks for nuttin’ Noonan”), most John Hughes movies (Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), Braveheart (“Where da’ ya’ think yer goin’? I’m goin’ with you”)

Favorite TV Shows:
Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, college sports

Favorite Quote:
“And on Earth peace, good will toward men”

Hero/Role Model:
My dad

Career:
I’ve been in HR for the last 9 years. Can’t remember prior to that…too long ago.

What I like most about my work at the Research and Development Center:
The small start-up/entrepreneurial spirit

My future vision for the Research and Development Center:
Continued growth and success

Outside of work, I think I’m really good at:
Games involving useless trivia. Wait…is that a redundant statement?!
