Is your hometown known for anything? Apparently a railway museum...I’ve never seen it though. There is also a Lincoln/Douglass debate site and a really good Dairy Queen.

Favorite thing to do on campus: Throw an Aerobie disc at the arboretum. If you haven’t tried it, I definitely recommend it.

What do you do in your spare time? I like to check out old book stores and record shops.

If you could have dinner with anyone from history or present day, who would it be and why? Benjamin Franklin. He would be really interesting. I’m sure it would be nothing but wise quotes all night long.

How long have you been working at the RC? Since May of 2009

Why did you decide to work for the RC? I had a roommate who worked here and really enjoyed it and had some opportunities open up because of it. So when I saw they were hiring video production interns, I applied.

What is your project about? The main project I’m working on is a consumer research study aimed at gaining insight into the insurance and financial services knowledge of recent college graduates. My objective is to turn the interviews and data into a short documentary.

What is your favorite thing about working here? My favorite thing about the Research Center is having so many diverse knowledge backgrounds in one place. I’ll ask someone sitting next to me about a sentence structure and then turn around and ask another intern about the electrical component of my innovationREADY project. Free coffee and snacks are nice too.
